Muzzleloading - Deer & Elk
Drawing deadline early April
All muzzleloading licenses, for both deer and elk, are obtained though the state drawing. The deadline for entering the drawing is early April. The hunting season runs in mid-September. The bulls are bulging and the bucks are not as cautious as later in the regular season.
These muzzleloading hunts are our favorites and are usually the most successful for our clients. This is a great time of year to be in Colorado's high country.
This hunt requires 19 preference points to draw a license. Landowner vouchers are available for an additional fee but are limited.
